JCPenney has started a new pricing system on clothing and merchandise. It is called 3-tiered pricing structure: How does it work?
A red tag means an “EVERDAY” price, a white tag a “MONTH-LONG VALUES” and a blue tag a “BEST PRICES.”
- "EVERYDAY" price - same as sale prices. All merchandise is being cut at least 40% or lower
- "MONTH-LONG VALUES" - discount on select merchandise each month for the whole month.
- "BEST PRICE" - clearance deals during the FIRST and the THIRD Friday of each month when many shoppers get paid. The best price merchandise is considered clearance and is only good while supplies last.
Also, JCPenney uses whole figures when pricing items. In other words, they will price items at $19 or $20, not $19.99.
I was so excited I went to JC Penny Saturday and found 2 buck shirts for my 16 year old. I asked the cashier if these sales were advertised, and she said they usually mark stuff $2 every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month. I know where I will be those days. LOL
