Easter Dinner: Homemade Rolls

Yummy! HOMEMADE dinner rolls are the BEST! Growing up, my mom always made them and they are DELICIOUS! Here's my mom's recipe! (Thanks Mom!)

Ingredients:

Flour
Sugar
Yeast Package
Salt
Butter
Dry Milk
Water
Eggs

Tools needed:

Mixer
Bread Hook
Measuring Cups
Measuring Tablespoon
Bowls
**not pictured: Baking Pan!

Ok, got all that? Ready?

1. Set up the mixer and then add 3 full cups of FLOUR.

2. Add 3/4 cup SUGAR

3. Add 1 TBSP SALT.

4. ADD 1/2 cup DRY MILK

5. Get a normal sized bowl and head over to the kitchen sink. Run the water to just a little above warm. (NOT TOO HOT! It will kill the yeast.) Just a little bit more than warm).. Add 2 cups of that warm water to the bowl.

6. Cut open the package of YEAST and spread it over the top of the warm water.

It will take about a minute or two for the yeast to settle into the water. While you are waiting, grab another normal sized bowl and the stick of BUTTER!

7.Cut the BUTTER to 1/3 cup.

8. Put the 1/3 cup BUTTER in the normal sized bowl and pop it in the mircowave to melt the butter. (Approx 20-30 seconds)

9. Check on your yeast and stir it slowly...

10. Pour BOTH the BUTTER and YEAST into the mixer on top of the flour.

11. MIX the ingredients together until all blended.

12. Grab your TWO EGGS.. crack them open and add them to the mixture.

13. Add another 3 cups FLOUR

14. Mix the ingredients together again starting with the SLOWEST setting and as it becomes more blended increase the speed.

15. It should look like that.. Then take the dough out of the mixing bowl and knead it a little bit into a ball.

16. Grab the PAM spray and spray the big bowl and put the "ball" dough inside.

17. Get the Saran Wrap (plastic wrap) and cover the dough.

18. Put your dough in a warm place (very important if you want the dough to rise)- direct sunlight or near a warm oven.. whatever. I use my under the cupboards lights.

OK! You are done for a couple of hours- 2-4 hours.. depending on how long it takes your dough to rise.

..
..
..

After a while it will look like this!

How beautiful is that?!

19. OK.. remove the plastic wrap and PUNCH DOWN with your FIST!

20. Prepare your baking pan by spraying it with PAM.

21. Grab some dough and roll it into little balls.

22. Here is what it looks like on the pan. Set the oven at 350 degrees and pop it in there for about 15 minutes until it becomes a little golden on the tops.

The transformation after baking for 15 or so minutes...

MMM Looks so good! Best served WARM with butter.. jam.. whatever! ;) Have fun!
